CHANGE FROM THE SMALLEST TO PROTECT YOURSELF, ENVIRONMENT AND THE WILD
On 19th December 2020, CHANGE visited EZLand office (40 Dang Dung St., Tan Dinh ward, District 1, HCMC) to organise “Together with the Enterprise Protect Wildlife” workshop. The workshop was inspiring and attracted many enthusiastic staff members from various departments.
COVID-19 has caused much damage not only to the global economy but also to people’s lives. Hence the worldwide movement calling to eliminate wildlife consumption, in order to lessen the spread of viruses initiated from wild animals, is more vital than ever.
CHANGE, WildAid and GIZ have hosted a chain of seminars and training for enterprises with diverse types of business models. These seminars and training help entrepreneurs and their employees to be aware of the big picture regarding the current wildlife crisis worldwide.
With guidance from CHANGE’s speakers, audiences have a chance to share, be listened to, and get a closer perspective on this topic which is essential but lacking in public recognition. They heard heartbreaking stories about elephant poaching and pangolins killed in Africa. They also heard of the many severe problems in Vietnam, such as poaching, consuming, irresponsible live releases, and the illegal petting of wild animals. At the end of the workshop, everyone has their pledge to work together with CHANGE to stop the crisis and protect all species.
This workshop is the EZLand’s first step after signing in the Pledge for Wildlife, at the “Valuing Natural Capital” event hosted by CHANGE in October 2020.
Furthermore, EZLand’s staff also joined in lots of exciting activities – collecting creative ideas to decrease each individual’s negative effect on the environment and sea creatures.
Now, let’s look back at the Workshop’s memorable memories!
