KON TUM: DETECTIVE A CAR TRANSPORT WILD ANIMALS MEAT

64 Kilogram of wild animal meat was found when the police investigated a car. The diver wasn’t unable to present the legal document to prove the meat’s origin.

December 7th, at night, at Dak Xu commune, Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum province, The Kon Tum Province Traffic police unit conducted car administrative check with driver Nguyen Lam Vinh (27 of Plei Kan town, Ngoc Hoi district), who was driving from Po Y commune to Plei Kan town.

After checking, the police found 2 bags of thighs from a yellow-brown fur animal and 1 green bag containing 2 front thighs of a yellow-brown fur animal in the truck. The meat was suspected to be wild animal carcasses. The total weight of the two bags was 64 kilogram and is not yet classified.

Through the investigation, the driver Nguyen Lam Linh admitted that he was hired by a man named Truong (of  Plei Kan town, Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum province) to deliver those venisons from Po Y commune, Ngoc Hoi district to Truong’s house. Then, after receiving the venison, and on the way to deliver it, he was caught by the police patrol. The police force has inspected and seized all the evidence. The case is still under investigation.
